A Romantic Engagement Session at RC Harris Water Plant

Rachel and Allan’s engagement session at RC Harris Water Plant was one of those rare moments where everything seemed to fall perfectly into place—the location, the energy between them, and the harmony between fire and earth (read on, I’ll explain). Combined, RC Harris and The Beaches set the perfect backdrop for their love story, offering both an industrial edge and the calm beauty of nature. We shot on both film and digital, capturing their story with a blend of timeless warmth and modern clarity.

Rachel, with her incredibly beautiful eyes, brought an undeniable spark to the session. She is fire—radiant, full of energy, and with a presence that commands attention. Allan, on the other hand, is earth—steady, grounded, and unwavering. Together, they create a perfect balance, each complementing the other in the most natural way. Their connection was palpable in every shot, making the session feel effortless and intimate.

What made this session even more special was the openness and trust Rachel and Allan showed throughout the shoot. As a photographer, there’s nothing more powerful than a couple who is willing to trust the process and be open to whatever ideas you suggest. This trust can make all the difference. Whether it was letting go and laughing together, or allowing themselves to be fully present in the quiet moments, they truly embraced the experience, and it shows in every frame.

As with every engagement session, my approach is always collaborative. I believe in working together with my couples to create a story that is uniquely theirs. With Rachel and Allan, we discussed their personalities, the emotions they wanted to convey, and the overall feeling we wanted to capture. The result was a beautiful mix of candid moments and creative shots, where their love truly took center stage.
